Aleix Plademunt's Boring Landscapes

Aleix Plademunt's Dubai series has everything I love about landscape photography. It's hyper sharp, tightly composed and slightly boring. I find joy in the banality. There's something soothing about a very simple image. It's impact, direct yet subtle. The rewards, plentiful when done correctly. Oddly enough this kind of work is easiest done in desert resort type locations. These are from Dubai; I have a series of images similar to these I shot in Las Vegas. There's something magical that happens when you mix sparse terrain with larger than life roadside attractions. You should probably check out the rest of this series here. It's pretty amaze.
